I don’t have time to exercise

Jan 22, 2019 1:52:23 PM / by Jillian DiGiampaolo

It’s probably the most common excuse that we hear (or perhaps have used ourselves): “I’d love to make it to class, but I just don’t have time.” Really? Is that truly the case? Do you not have time OR are you not making it a priority? Try saying this instead: “I’d love to make it to class, but it’s just not a priority.” Oh---not really what you want to hear, but most likely a little closer to the truth.

We get it—you’re busy, and there don’t seem to be enough hours in the day to make time to work out. Time is a precious resource, and you’re right, you can’t MAKE more time…but you can FIND more time. It’s a common practice to keep a food journal when trying to clean up your diet—do the same thing with your schedule. Over the next three or four days, keep a time journal. Write down EVERYTHING you do in 30 to 60 minute blocks. How much time are you spending on social media? Watching NetFlix? “Working”, but nooooot really working? You might be surprised at just how much time you can FIND to exercise.

Here at JonesN4 CrossFit, we have classes in the early morning, noon, and every evening—surely you can find an hour to come join us for a workout. How you choose to spend your time defines your priorities. Find the time, and make working out a priority.
